AMINOKISELINE KAO SPORTSKI SUPLEMENTI

Aminokiseline koje su danas najčešće korišćene u sportu su ornitin, arginin, aminokiseline račvastog lanca (BCAA, leucin, izoleucin, valin), glutamin i aspartat. Suplementacija aminokiselina je česta u sportovima gde postoje klase prema telesnoj masi, odnosno kombinacije intezivnog treninga i programa redukcije telesne mase (borilački sportovi, rvanje, bodibilding). Međutim, studije ukazuju, da unošenje istih ne poboljšava rad na treningu, čak štaviše potencijalni loš efekat je u činjenici da unošenje kombinovanih aminokiselina povećava amonijak u plazmi i mišićima što doprinosi umoru. Ne postoje čvrsti dokazi da posebne mešavine aminokiselina obezbeđuje bilo kakvu prednost u odnosu na normalnu proteinsku ishranu u stimulisanju rasta mišića. Da bi se ostvarila prednost, neki sportisti koriste ergogena sredstva, odnosno sredstva koja poboljšavaju takmičarsku sposobnost iznad nivoa zadatog genetskom predispozicijom ili treningom.

AMINO ACIDS AS SPORTS SUPPLEMENTS

 

Amino acids like ornithine, arginine, branch-chaind amino acids (isoleucine, leucine, valine), glutamine and aspartate are most popular in modern sport. Supplementation with amino acids is common in sports with weight categories (e.g. martial arts, wrestling, body building), along with intensive training and different weight reduction strategies. Yet, recent studies showed no improvement in athletic performance. Moreover, supplementation with amino acids could be related with significant side effects due to increase of ammonia and fatigue. There is no clear evidence that intake of amino acids is superior in performance improvement as compared to diet rich in proteins. In aim to achieve competitive edge some athletes uses ergogenic aids and doping to enhance performance potential above normal physiological level based on training and genetical factors.
