SPORTS ACTIVITIES OF THE PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Children and persons with special needs participate in sports activities suitable to their preserved abilities. The example of the active participation and accomplishing significant results in sports activities is the Sports club for children and youth with special needs «Marble» which is established on 22.08.2004. and gather over 150 sportsmen with mental handicaps from five municipalites of the Sauthbanatic district. Members of the club «Marble» together with the members of the association MNRO from Pancevo and with the team of football and table tennis players from the Center «Heart in apple» from Jabuka have participated in the First National Summer Game of the Special Olympiad of Serbia, held in Pirot from 24th till 27th of June 2006. In this Olympiad participated 9 cities of Serbia and Pancevo was represented by 40 sportsmen and 9 coaches. There were teams in football, basketball, table tennis and athletics. The participants had been prepared during the whole year and they participated also in the 19th Belgrade marathon. The success wasn't dropped behind because they achieved significant results. They have won 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Deca i osobe sa posebnim potrebama učestvuju u sportskim aktivnostima primereno svojim očuvanim sposobnostima. Primer aktivnog učešća i postizanja značajnih rezultata u sportskim aktivnostima je Sportski klub za decu i omladinu sa posebnim potrebama «Kliker» iz Pančeva koji je osnovan 22.08.2004. godine i okuplja preko 150 sportista sa mentalnim hendikepom iz pet opština Južnobanatskog okruga. Članovi kluba «Kliker» su zajedno sa članovima udruženja MNRO iz Pančeva i ekipom fudbala i stonog tenisa iz Doma «Srce u jabuci» iz Jabuke učestvovali na Prvim nacionalnim letnjim igrama Specijalne Olimpijade Srbije održanim u Pirotu od 24. do 27. juna 2006. godine. Učestvovalo je devet gradova Srbije, a Pančevo je predstavljalo 40 sportista i 9 trenera. Učestvovale su ekipe fudbala, košarke, stonog tenisa i atletike. Učesnici su razvrstani kao laka i umerena mentalna retardacija. Učesnici su se spremali tokom cele godine, a učestvovali su i na 19. beogradskom maratonu. Uspeh nije izostao, postignuti su zapaženi rezultati. Osvojene su 2 zlatne, 3 srebrne i 5 bronzanih medalja.
